Terms and Conditions

These terms describe how Brampton Hood Cleaning Pros quotes and delivers commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning, and they exist so nothing important gets settled by memory after a job. They cover what a quote is and is not, what access the crew needs, where the scope stops, what documentation is produced, and how payment and cancellation work. The written quote for a specific kitchen governs where it differs from anything on this page.

Quotes and pricing

A quote is a fixed figure for a defined scope, not an estimate that drifts.

The walk-through is free and carries no obligation. A written quote follows within 24 hours, itemised by canopy and by scope, and the invoice matches it. Published starting prices are $385 per visit for a single-hood kitchen up to ten feet and $725 per visit for a multi-hood kitchen of two to four canopies, with a written site quote for institutional and event kitchens. All figures are in Canadian dollars and exclude applicable taxes.

A quote covers the system as inspected. Where a kitchen changes between the walk-through and the visit, for example an added fryer, a replaced canopy or a system left far longer than described, a revised quote is issued for agreement before the work proceeds rather than added to the invoice afterwards. A quote is valid for 60 days unless it states otherwise.

What each party is responsible for

Most jobs that go wrong go wrong on access, not on cleaning.

Item The customer provides Brampton Hood Cleaning Pros provides
Access Entry to the kitchen and the roof at the agreed time, keys or codes, and alarm arrangements. Arrival within the agreed window and a call if anything changes.
The cook line A line clear of food, small equipment and personal items before the crew arrives. Sheeting and containment over everything that cannot be moved.
Utilities Working power, hot water and lighting on site. Safe isolation of fans, appliance power and pilots, and restoration exactly as found.
Insurance Notification of any building or landlord requirement before the visit. Proof of WSIB coverage and liability insurance before work begins.
Waste Nothing. Removal of waste grease and wash water from site.

Scope limits and findings

What cannot be reached is written down rather than cleaned around silently.

Cleaning is performed on the surfaces that can be reached safely. Where a duct lacks access panels, a rooftop fan cannot be hinged, or a section is enclosed or inaccessible, those sections are identified in the report and named on the certificate as not cleaned. A certificate never implies coverage of a section that was not reached.

Certain trades are outside this scope entirely and are not performed: duct repair, access panel installation, exhaust fan repair or replacement, hinge kit supply and fitting, roof membrane repair, and fire suppression system inspection, testing or recharging. Residential range hoods are not serviced. Where a walk-through or a visit finds any of these needed, it is recorded as a finding so the appropriate trade can be engaged.

Pre-existing damage is documented. Equipment already corroded, filters already deformed, ducts already breached and roof membranes already degraded are photographed before work begins, which protects both parties. Cleaning cannot restore failed components, and any component identified as failed is reported rather than reinstalled to look presentable.

Documentation, payment and cancellation

The three administrative points that come up most often after a job.

Documentation. Every completed visit produces a signed and dated certificate of performance referencing the published NFPA 96 standard, before-and-after photographs of every cleaned surface, and a dated service sticker on the hood. These are issued as standard and belong to the customer. Brampton Hood Cleaning Pros references the NFPA 96 standard as the technical baseline for its work and is not affiliated with the NFPA.

Payment. Invoices are issued on completion and are payable on the terms stated on the invoice. Where a purchase order is required by a municipal, institutional or corporate customer, the order should be supplied before the visit so the invoice can reference it.

Cancellation. A booked visit can be moved or cancelled with reasonable notice at no cost. Night work is scheduled by crew and by window, so a cancellation made after the crew has travelled to site may be charged for the attendance. Where a visit cannot proceed because access, power, water or a clear cook line was not available, the same applies, which is why the responsibilities table above matters.

Questions about these terms

Is the quote guaranteed, or can it change on the night?

It is fixed for the scope quoted. The only thing that changes it is a change in the kitchen or the system between the walk-through and the visit, and any revision is agreed in writing before work proceeds. A surprise line appearing on an invoice is not how this works.

What if the crew cannot get onto the roof?

Roof access is assessed during the walk-through, precisely so this is known in advance. Where access turns out to be unsafe on the night, for example due to ice, weather or a blocked route, the rooftop portion is deferred and the certificate states what was and was not completed.

Do you need someone on site during the visit?

Not usually, but someone with keys, codes and alarm access has to be reachable. Most Brampton kitchens hand over access and collect a clean kitchen and a report in the morning.

Who owns the photographs and the certificate?

The customer. They are produced as evidence of the work for the customer's file, and a copy is retained as a job record. They are not published or shared with anyone else without the customer's explicit permission, as set out in the privacy policy.

Which law applies?

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it. Nothing on this website is legal advice, and nothing here overrides an obligation a kitchen owes under the Ontario Fire Code or under its own insurance policy.

Anything here you want clarified?

Ask before you book rather than after. Call 289-216-5724 and the scope gets written down in plain words.
